How To Write Your Resume?
Remember! Your resume is the first impression that you make on the prospective employers or readers. At all times, it should be kept concise and factual with relevant information that the prospective employers would want to see.
How it is written and its content will to a great extent, determine your success in securing an interview. Below are some suggested pointers which we hope can be of good use to you.
1. Know your prospective employer & the job that you're applying.
If possible, do a quick background check on the company that you're writing to. Try to understand their business and the job expectations. Make sure that you are able or at least confident to assume the job role before writing to the employer concerned. Such checks will help you to structure your resume better and with the right content.
2. Writing your resume.
Remember! A well-written resume appeals better to the prospective employers or readers!
Your resume should be: -
a) be answering to every details required in the prospective employer's advertisement.
b) properly worded with plain words. Avoid jargons etc.
c) typed. Handwritten one should be avoided as readers usually tend to be put off by poor or illegible handwriting. It may also give the wrong impression that the applicant does not know how to type using a PC or a typewriter.
d) attached with an introductory letter that provide a good summary / overview about yourself i.e. personality, qualification, experience and reason(s) for applying to the job. A well-worded content will also helps to stir an interest in the prospective employer to see the applicant.
e) organized with a proper structure. It should contains the following:-
i) personal particulars & contact numbers
ii) academic & professional qualifications (if any)
iii) professional affiliation / memberships (if any)
iv) type of training & courses attended etc.
v) details of job duty, responsibility, work experience. If possible, narrate information that is applicable to the advertised job. This is a very important area that the prospective employer will consider before short listing the applicant.
vi) reasons for leaving the various jobs.
vii) personal achievements / accomplishments etc.
viii) current & expected salary
ix) date available for next employment
f) attached with relevant testimonials from ex-employers (where possible).
Obviously, there are many ways of writing a resume. There is no fix rule. What we have provided are suggested pointers. Ultimately, you should write your resume in a way that is comfortable and according to your own style.

INTERVIEW -what you should do?
An interview is your first step towards securing a new job. The success depends greatly on how best you conduct yourself during your meet up with the prospective employer. There is no magic answer but there are certain pointers that you can take to enhance your success. Below are some of them.
1. Refresh yourself with the resume that you have written to the prospective employer concerned. Get your facts correct.
2. Know where is the interview venue. Give ample time for yourself to get there on time. Be punctual, at least 15 minutes earlier.
3. Dress appropriately for the interview as first impression is very important. Avoid 'over-kill'.
4. At the prospective employer's premise, follow their recruitment routine. If you are required to fill up application forms etc., please do so. If you have to wait, be patient and do not loose your 'cool'.
5. If there is more than one interviewer, do not be afraid. Treat it just like another business party.
6. Be natural and display good mannerism.
7. Allow the interviewer to ask questions. Answer accordingly in a humble and yet effective manner. Do not bluff. Be factual. Do not be arrogant.
8. You should be asking relevant questions pertaining to areas such as:
- job details and expectations
- the working environment and the people
- opportunities for training and career advancement etc.
9. You should not pose question where the interviewer has difficulty in
answering. The questions you asked should reflect well on your intellectual ability and genuine interest in knowing more about the job.
10. Avoid asking question on salary. Leave it for the interviewer to ask you. Usually, your expectation would be have been indicated on your application form. Should the interviewer touch on the matter, do not answer immediately. Instead, you should get the interviewer's feed back on their appraisal of you. Thereafter, reply accordingly.
11. At the end of the interview, you may ask the interviewer when will the interview's result be made known to you.
12. Remember to thank the interviewer for the granting you the interview.
We hope the above pointers can be of use to you. It is not meant to be a success formula for all interviews. As to whether a job will be offered eventually, a great deal will depends on you and the relevance of your experience to fit the prospective employer's requirements.

Resume Do's & Don'ts
Please use the following guidelines to review your resume and avoid anyone of these common mistakes in resume writing:
Resume Do's
1) Print resume on clean, neat sheet of fine quality paper.
2) Resumes should look pleasant to the eye always use lots of "white space", bolding, and underlining to define the different sections of your resume.
3) Always include an objective, it should relate to the position of which you are applying, otherwise use a general objective. (i.e. "To contribute several years of experience in the area of..."
4) Include month and year, starting and ending dates of job history. Note: if your dates don't reflect stability, place dates on right side margin of resume.
5) Include accomplishments and achievements as often as possible.
6) Keep a consistent format and the same verb tense.
7) Always start your sentences with actions verbs (i.e. created, performed, directed, composed, managed, coordinated...).
8) Always have someone else proofread your work, in addition to yourself.
9) Include a personalized cover letter or a general letter of introduction. The letter should explain your reason for applying for the job.
10) Hand deliver resume and letter whenever possible.
Resume Don'ts
DON'T:
1) Write in the first person (i.e. "I typed all correspondence..."
2) Have any typographical errors or misspellings.
3) Use loud color paper.
4) Put dates of high school graduation.
5) Put personal information such as marital status, ages, social security number, number of children, etc.
6) Make it longer than one page
7) List your very first position first.
8) Try to be innovative, do stick with a standard format.
9) Present a resume with poor quality printing.
10) Present a resume on copier paper.
11) Exclude work history or dates of employment.
12) Include job history over ten years old.
13) Include references on the body of the resume. DO use a separate sheet for this purpose.
14) Use company specific terminology. DO translate it into terms that make sense to the reader.
15) Ever give inaccurate dates or false information regarding experience or education.

Typical Recruitment Procedures
1. Interested candidates will have to submit 2 sets of following documents.
a.) Hard Copy of Resume
b.) Soft Copy of Resume
c.) Copies of Certificates of Educational qualifications.
d.) Copies of Certificates of Professional qualifications
e.) Copies of Certificates of Experience (or any proof of their service)
f.) Copies of Certificates of Testimonials, Appreciation Letters, Commendations etc., if any.
g.) Copy of Passport
h.) Passport size photographs.
2. Incoming resumes will be screened by us in India and sent to the overseas consltants for Short-listing.
3. Overseas Consltants will short-list the resumes and short-listed candidates will be intimated accordingly.
4. Documents of selected candidates will be sent to the overseas consltants.
5. Overseas Consltants & their clients will further screen the candidates and conduct a tele-interview.
6. Employment Offer letter will be sent to the selected candidates.
7. Candidates will have to pay the service charges, after acceptance of Employment Offer (ie., Appointment) letter.
8. Candidates also will have to sign an agreement, assuring us that they would make it to the clients as per the schedule, after acceptance of Employment Offer (ie., Appointment) letter.
9. Work Permit will be applied, after completion of above step.
10. It generally takes 6-8 weeks to receive the work-permit.
11. Candidates have to arrange for Visa and Onward Flight Ticket by economy class. The Onward Flight charges by economy class will be reimbursed to the candidates, depending on clients.

The 10 Things that TURN-OFF THE EMPLOYERS!
The job of an interviewer is not only to assess your positive attributes. He/ she is there to evaluate the negative aspects as well. Below is a list of "don'ts" that will inevitably lead to rejection. So, Beware and keep away from them.
1. Poor physical appearance, limp handshake & failure to have eye contact with the interviewer.
2. No career plan, purpose or goal; lack of interest & enthusiasm.
3. Nervousness & lack of confidence.
4. Evasive and excuse-oriented.
5. Overbearing, conceited & "know-all" attitude.
6. Immature, tactless & rude.
7. Lack of preparation for the interview, resulting in failure to ask intelligent questions.
8. Condemnation & criticism of past employers.
9. Poor expression of thoughts; poor grammar or diction.
10. Only interested in money/ salary & "what the company can do for you".
